| The Ohio River Sternwheel Festival occurs every year on the weekend after Labor Day. Over the past 34 years plus, the Ohio River Sternwheel Festival has attracted tens of thousands of people to Marietta during the weekend event, as well as 30 to 35 authentic sternwheel boats including many members of The Great Kanawha River Navy. | |

Sternwheelers and pleasure boaters come from all over to this 3 day festival. The festival is opened with a fire truck parade with a variety of models and vintage vehicles. Activities include live entertainment, parade, chili cook off, line throwing competition, crafters, food vendors, and children's activities. |
